David Stamps (Ph.D., University of California, Santa Barbara) is an Assistant Professor in the Manship School of Mass Communication at Louisiana State University and affiliate of the Reilly Center for Media & Public Affairs.
Some of our strategic goals include: building partnerships with Baton Rouge and Louisiana non-profits and grassroots outreach organizations dedicated to social, racial, economic justice.
We also aim to co-produce and host events including panels, voter registrations, and forums focused on increasing political engagement among the Baton Rouge community.
Votes Count is a digital and grassroots network focused on access and equity for communities often sidelined or neglected regarding political engagement.
Votes Count aims to raise awareness and engage in reform regarding:
Voter intimidation and harassment, Voter confusion, Strict voter ID and ballot, requirements, Voter purges and
Voter registration issues.
